Children missed the way how they communicate with their peers. This is an old picture how we worked together, but now during this crisis uncertainly time, we have changed our policy due to COVID-19. As children entering into the daycare, children must wash their hands before picking up toys, books or playground equipments, etc. Also, children are washing their hands throughout the day and checking each child's temperature. Each child is required to wear a mask starting at the age of 2-year-old with social distancing of 6 ft. We give our daycare children the guideline steps how to stop germs and stay healthy.

Our goal is to provide the best possible care for your child/or children and youth, in a safe family home environment to grow and learn for the years to come. We believe in Parent Involvement, so parents can be involved of their child/or children education. I'm a southern woman from the south with a warm southern hospitality with humble, honest, intelligence, integrity and values. My parents guided me the positive ways to treat individuals with respect, and I have kept my parentsir positive spirit as an important of my life. I have over 30 years experience working with children and youth. I enjoy working with children and youth; children and youth are the future for us.
My heart is always a part of children and youth lives in every states who have lost access of educational learning during the pandemic in February 2020. I challenge to remain my daycare open and make a difference of the children lives who we all were hit with an alert notification of COV-ID 19 in February 2020 to use precaution safety during this crisis time. Children need our support from family, communities, daycare providers, mentors, teachers and counselors, etc., but we providers can challenge and make a different of these children lives. Children need family, daycare staff, teachers, mentor, counselor and friends, etc, support, in the meaning to provide each child and youths high-quality services to help children in their development skills, so they can be success in school and in their lives outside of school. I believe that social, emotional and communication skills are important along with digital studies or subjects. I am here to provide enriching opportunities to meet the needs of all children and youth.
I make sure all requirements and regulations are met to ensure the safety of the children and youth and staff, making sure the daycare runs smoothly. My experience includes having the training needed to interview and hire staff members and ensure that a criminal background is done for the safety of everyone. I have all of my certifications including training in first aide, and I know what procedures to follow in the event of an accident or any type of emergency situation. Children and youths must wear a face mask starting at the age of 2-year-old. Children are learning the 6 ft. social distancing. All toys and playground equipment are wiped down clean and disinfected after each used at the daycare. Children have their own zip lock bag with their own school supplies.
My educational is following as an Associate of Art Degree in Administrative Assistant and Computer Science, Bachelor of Art Degree in Education, Master Studied in Project Management and Education.
I worked many years in the communities from Federal Way to Pierce County as an Aboriginal Cultivate Advocate volunteer to help many families with children and youth school's work and special needs children in their education, IEP and accommodate their needs in my daycare as well. I donated toys and learning supplies, and equipment, purchased items for individuals home, and sheltered individuals in my personal home and helped women and children in my women shelter for many years in Federal Way. I did volunteer work as a member with City of Federal Way-Human Service, City of Federal Way-Police Task Force and an Advocate Team with Chief, Ann Kirkpatrick at the time through 2001-2006, and I'm here to bring joy, happiness and fun to all children. I want to thank the parents for sharing their child with our program, and how much you look forward to their time there.
I operated my own health fitness in Bellevue, Washington and Fife, Washington in 1995. I joined the Chamber of Commerce in Bellevue and Fife area including Milton and Edgewood Chamber of Commerce and joined the Chamber to support and investment in each community.

A Letter of Character From City of Federal-Mayor, Jim Ferrell-October 22, 2020
Florenda Wyatt-Simmons
2202 SW 349th Place
Federal Way, WA 98023
To whom it may concern,
Florenda Wyatt-Simmons has asked me to do a reference about her community service in our city. I am glad to do so.
Florenda’s passion is early child/children and youth education and to help those who are in need. Her passion for this stems from her the dedication to child/children and youth at her Federal Way business, Little Tots Daycare. In coordination with the school district, she provides after-school programs for students up to age 4 to 13 and will financially support families, no matter their need. Another passion is her sponsoring of programs to provide activities for older students.
She has also served the community by working with homeless families by assisting them in finding housing and helping them identify resources for their financial needs. Florenda has also helped bring the community by serving on the Chief’s Call, a group that is an important link between our neighbors and the police department.
I highly recommend her. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jim Ferrell
Mayor

COVID-19 MEASUREMENT:
We are following the federal FDA and CDC recalled on hand sanitizer to have a safe daycare. Children are learning the guidelines to wash their hands properly to stop germs and stay healthy! Children are monitor to wash their hands often with soap and warm water. The following steps are: apply hand soap, wash hands for 20 seconds, rinse hands well thoroughly and use a paper towel to dry their hands. If you aren't sure about washing hands guidelines, contact the Public Health or King County or your county. For King County, go to website at www.metrokc.gov/health.
Due to the sudden increase in demand for hand sanitizers this spring, many manufacturers rushed new products to market. The Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is learning that many of these products are either unsafe because they contain methanol, or they do not have enough ethyl or isopropyl alcohol to be effective.
